Where a frame’s blob lies, for a reader that streams it in chunks rather than loading it.
Fields§
§seq: u64Sequence number.
kind: u16Kind as stored.
meta: Vec<u8>Meta bytes.
path: PathBufThe segment file the blob is in.
blob_offset: u64Byte offset of the blob inside that file.
blob_len: u64Blob length.
payload_crc: Option<u32>The frame’s payload crc32c (meta ‖ blob) — Some only on the LAST piece (restore-large-
entry, 2026-10-07): what a sender stamps on the entry’s last chunk so a box that put the
entry together across several streams applies it only if it IS the entry. From
Log::read_pieces it is CHECKED: the crc over the bytes read matched the trailer. From
Log::read_pieces_from at an offset it is the trailer AS STORED, unchecked here — the
bytes below the offset were not read — and the receiver, which holds the whole entry,
checks it. None from Log::locate_blob and on an erased frame (its crc was over bytes
now gone).
