LogLine

Struct LogLine

Source
pub struct LogLine {
    pub level: Level,
    pub target: &'static str,
    pub message: String,
    pub fields: Vec<(&'static str, String)>,
    pub span_fields: Vec<(&'static str, String)>,
}
Expand description

One logged line, as values.

Fields§

§level: Level§target: &'static str

The target: — gunnar::ssh, gunnar::git, gunnar::audit, or the module path when none was named.

§message: String

The format-string message; empty when the event had only fields.

§fields: Vec<(&'static str, String)>

The event’s own fields, in declaration order, values rendered with Debug/Display the way fmt would (strings unquoted).

§span_fields: Vec<(&'static str, String)>

The fields of the spans this event sits in, outermost first. A field recorded later via Span::record replaces the earlier value.

Implementations§

Source§

impl LogLine

Source

pub fn field(&self, name: &str) -> Option<&str>

The value of an event field by name.

Source

pub fn get(&self, name: &str) -> Option<&str>

A field, from the event first and then from the innermost span that carries it — repo and principal are span fields on a transfer, event fields on a gRPC call, and a reader should not have to know.

Source

pub fn event(&self) -> Option<&str>

The structured event = "…" name, when the line has one.
