pub enum PlatformError {
Connect,
Registry,
MissingCompositor,
MissingLayerShell,
ConnectionLost,
NoGpu,
}Expand description
Why the platform layer could not start or continue.
These are ordinary environmental conditions (no Wayland session, a compositor without layer-shell such as GNOME, a dropped connection, no GPU to draw a surface with) — they are reported instead of panicking the process.
Variants§
Connect
Could not connect to a Wayland display (no session / wrong env).
Registry
Wayland registry initialization failed.
MissingCompositor
The compositor does not advertise wl_compositor.
MissingLayerShell
The compositor does not support zwlr_layer_shell_v1 (e.g. GNOME).
ConnectionLost
The Wayland connection failed while the app was running.
NoGpu
No Vulkan adapter could draw the surface that asked for one.
