pub enum ProbeShape {
Chain,
Star,
Ring,
}Expand description
The switch arrangement a conditioning_probe builds.
The shape matters more than the count, which is the whole reason this is a
parameter — see conditioning_probe’s doc.
Variants§
Chain
A single chain of switches from the slack bus. A tree, so the stiff subnetwork has no circulating mode.
Star
Every switch fans out from one busbar node. Also a tree, and the shape a real substation bay arrangement most resembles.
Ring
The switches close a ring. Not a tree: a loop of near-ideal branches has a circulating current fixed only by the small differences between their impedances, which is where regularization actually breaks down.
