pub enum OverlayInitialFocus {
Panel,
First,
}Expand description
Where focus lands on each closed -> open presentation cycle of a modal
or menu overlay. This is an overlay-lifecycle contract, deliberately not
tied to entity mount: overlays keep their semantic subtree (and thus
primitive identity) across close/reopen, so mount-time mechanisms like
input autofocus fire only on the first open.
Variants§
Panel
Focus the overlay panel itself (historical behavior).
First
Focus the first focusable element inside the panel once the content has entered the focus tree.
Note: any node with interaction handlers (click/hover/key) gets an
interaction wrapper, and wrappers are tab stops by default. A content
container that listens for keys (arrow navigation, say) will itself
be “first” unless it opts out with tab_stop(false).
