ModelProvider

Struct ModelProvider

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct ModelProvider { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A maker of models, one mark in the picker’s rail and the models it owns.

The icon is any Icon: the picker ships no vendor logos, so an application brings the marks it has the right to show. A mark that the application embeds comes in through Icon::from_bytes, and one that its asset source holds comes in through Icon::new. A bundled Lucide IconName works too, and a provider with no icon shows a generic bot.

use gpui_cn::{Icon, ModelEntry, ModelProvider};
use gpui_kit::assets::IconName;

// The application's own SVG, embedded in its binary.
const MARK: &[u8] = br#"<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 24 24"><circle cx="12" cy="12" r="8"/></svg>"#;

let provider = ModelProvider::new("acme", "Acme")
    .icon(Icon::from_bytes(MARK))
    .models([ModelEntry::new("acme-1", "Acme One")]);
assert_eq!(provider.models_of().len(), 1);

let generic = ModelProvider::new("other", "Other").icon(IconName::Star);
assert!(generic.models_of().is_empty());
