Expand description

An HTTP client. Mirrors Go’s http.Client.

Fields§

§transport: Arc<dyn RoundTripper>

Transport used for request execution.

§timeout: Option<Duration>

Per-request timeout; None means no timeout.

§max_redirects: usize

Maximum number of redirects to follow when check_redirect is None (default 10, matching Go).

§check_redirect: Option<CheckRedirect>

Custom redirect policy. None uses the default (follow up to max_redirects, then fail with HttpError::TooManyRedirects).

§jar: Option<Arc<dyn CookieJar>>

Optional cookie jar.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Client

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Create a client using the default Transport.

Source

pub fn get(&self, url: &str) -> Result<Response, HttpError>

Issue a GET request. Port of Go’s (*Client).Get.

Source

pub fn post( &self, url: &str, content_type: &str, body: Body, ) -> Result<Response, HttpError>

Issue a POST request with the given content type and body. Port of Go’s (*Client).Post.

Source

pub fn post_form( &self, url: &str, values: &[(&str, &str)], ) -> Result<Response, HttpError>

Issue a POST request with application/x-www-form-urlencoded body. Port of Go’s (*Client).PostForm.

Source

pub fn head(&self, url: &str) -> Result<Response, HttpError>

Issue a HEAD request. Port of Go’s (*Client).Head.

Source

pub fn do_request(&self, req: Request) -> Result<Response, HttpError>

Execute req, following redirects and attaching cookies. Port of Go’s (*Client).Do.
