Why a Pointer::parse call failed.

Splits into “not a pointer” (input wasn’t intended to be an LFS pointer; callers should surface the bytes as opaque content) and “malformed” (input claimed to be a pointer but didn’t validate; callers should surface the error).

Variants

NotAPointer(NotAPointerReason)

The input does not look like a pointer at all.

Malformed(MalformedReason)

The input has pointer shape but is invalid.
