pub struct StatYDensity {
pub n_points: usize,
pub trim: bool,
pub bw: Option<f64>,
pub adjust: f64,
pub quantiles: Vec<f64>,
}Expand description
Kernel density estimation on Y per group (for violin plots).
Outputs: x (group value), y (eval points), violinwidth (density normalized to
[0, 1]). The geom mirrors violinwidth around the group’s x slot.
Also emits density (the raw estimate), n (the group’s count) — which
the geom’s scale = "area" | "count" need — and, when quantiles is set,
a quantiles cell with the group’s sample quantiles ("q1,q2,…").
Fields§
§n_points: usize§trim: boolEvaluate over the data range only (trim = TRUE, default); false
extends ±3 bandwidths into the tails.
bw: Option<f64>Fixed kernel bandwidth; None = R’s bw.nrd0.
adjust: f64Bandwidth multiplier (adjust, default 1).
quantiles: Vec<f64>Sample quantiles to report (quantiles, e.g. [0.25, 0.5, 0.75]).

Source§fn compute_group(&self, data: &DataFrame, _scales: &ScaleSet) -> DataFrame
fn compute_group(&self, data: &DataFrame, _scales: &ScaleSet) -> DataFrame
Transform data for a single group.
Source§fn required_aes(&self) -> Vec<Aesthetic>
fn required_aes(&self) -> Vec<Aesthetic>
Required aesthetics this stat needs.
Source§fn default_aes(&self) -> Aes
fn default_aes(&self) -> Aes
Default aesthetic mappings this stat produces.
Source§fn panelwise(&self) -> bool
fn panelwise(&self) -> bool
If true, the stat receives every row of a panel at once (grouped only by
facet variables) instead of once per aesthetic group. Needed for
cross-group comparisons such as
stat_compare_means, which must see all
groups together. Defaults to per-group behaviour.Source§fn validate(&self, _warnings: &mut Vec<String>)
fn validate(&self, _warnings: &mut Vec<String>)
Validate the stat’s own fixed configuration (not the data) and push
a human-readable warning for each problem found — e.g.
StatBinHex::binwidth being NaN, zero or negative. Called once per
layer, before compute_group runs (which has
no warnings channel of its own: the per-group call only sees
&DataFrame and &ScaleSet, not the plot’s warnings sink). Default:
