Represents an uploaded file in the Files API.
Files are stored on Google’s servers for 48 hours and can be referenced in interactions by their URI.
Fields§
§name: StringThe resource name of the file (e.g., “files/abc123”)
display_name: Option<String>User-provided display name for the file
mime_type: StringMIME type of the file
size_bytes: Option<String>Size of the file in bytes
create_time: Option<DateTime<Utc>>Timestamp when the file was created (ISO 8601 UTC)
expiration_time: Option<DateTime<Utc>>Timestamp when the file will be automatically deleted (ISO 8601 UTC)
sha256_hash: Option<String>SHA256 hash of the file contents
uri: StringURI to reference this file in API calls
state: Option<FileState>Processing state of the file
error: Option<FileError>Error information if processing failed
video_metadata: Option<VideoMetadata>Video metadata (if this is a video file)
Implementations§
Source§impl FileMetadata
impl FileMetadata
Sourcepub fn is_processing(&self) -> bool
pub fn is_processing(&self) -> bool
Returns true if the file is still being processed.
Sourcepub fn size_bytes_as_u64(&self) -> Option<u64>
pub fn size_bytes_as_u64(&self) -> Option<u64>
Parses the size_bytes field as a u64, if present and valid.
The API returns file sizes as strings in the JSON response. This helper parses that string into a numeric type for convenience.
§Returns
Some(size)if size_bytes is present and can be parsed as u64Noneif size_bytes is absent or cannot be parsed
§Example
if let Some(size) = file.size_bytes_as_u64() {
println!("File size: {} bytes", size);

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example

Source§fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().

Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
