Global permission mode controlling how the CLI handles tool approval.

Corresponds to the --approval-mode CLI flag, with BypassPermissions mapping to --yolo for compatibility with the Gemini CLI’s flag naming.

Variants§

Default

Default interactive approval — prompts for confirmation before tools run.

AcceptEdits

Automatically approve edit operations without prompting.

§

Plan

Plan-only mode — the CLI describes actions but does not execute them.

§

BypassPermissions

Skip all approval prompts. Use with caution in automated environments.
