Expand description

Events surfaced by the GBP layer.

Variants§

§

StateChanged

Node FSM changed state.

Fields

§from: NodeState

Previous state.

§to: NodeState

New state.

§

PayloadReceived(DeliveredPayload)

Payload delivered to a sub-protocol (Text / Audio / Signal). Control frames are handled internally and do not surface as Event::PayloadReceived.

§

Control

A control plane message was received and parsed.

Fields

§from: MemberId

Sender member id.

§opcode: ControlOpcode

Decoded opcode.

§transition_id: TransitionId

transition_id carried by the message.

§request_id: u32

request_id echoed by ACK / NACK responders.

§args: Vec<u8>

Opcode-specific args (CBOR or opaque bytes; e.g. the MLS Commit embedded in PREPARE_TRANSITION).

§

Error

An error was raised.

Fields

§code: u16

Numeric error code.

§class: ErrorClass

Error class.

§retryable: bool

MAY be retried.

§fatal: bool

Fatal — the node is now in FAILED.

§reason: String

Human-readable reason.

§

EpochAdvanced

Epoch transition has been applied locally.

Fields

§epoch: u64

New epoch.

§transition_id: TransitionId

transition_id that produced the new epoch.

§

CoordinatorElectionNeeded

Coordinator silence exceeded T_coordinator_grace. The application should call GroupNode::claim_coordinator if this node has the lowest MemberId among currently active members.

§

BecameCoordinator

This node successfully claimed the coordinator role (sent CAPABILITIES_ADVERTISE with coordinator_claim=true).

§

CoordinatorClaim

A remote member broadcast a coordinator claim.

Fields

§claimant: MemberId

The claiming member’s id.
