pub enum SurfaceSyntax {
Text,
Json,
ModelOutput,
}Expand description
The syntax of a surface’s text, which decides how restore writes a raw value into it.
Only restore reads it: request protection scans a surface’s text as it stands.
Variants§
Text
Free text. Restore writes the raw value byte for byte.
Json
A serialized JSON document, such as tool-call arguments. A token can only stand inside
one of its string literals, so restore JSON-escapes the raw value; a verbatim ", \,
or control character would break the document or silently change the parsed value. A
value that was itself captured inside a JSON string literal is already escaped and is
written as it is.
ModelOutput
Model-authored response text: Self::Json when the request asked for JSON output
(ProviderAdapter::requests_json_output), Self::Text otherwise.
