pub enum HostDecisionAuthority {
Gate,
Policy,
Operator,
DeadlinePolicy,
}Expand description
WHO decided a host request the agent sent to the ACP host – see
ProviderEvent::HostRequestObserved. Mirrors gate4agent’s own
HostDecisionAuthority one-for-one; this crate cannot depend on
gate4agent (see this crate’s CLAUDE.md), so the value is converted at
the boundary that already depends on both (gate4agent-shell-native).
Variants§
Gate
The dangerous-command gate forced this outcome ahead of HostPolicy
– terminal/create and execute-kind session/request_permission
only. Always a denial.
Policy
HostPolicy (Yolo/Auto/ReadOnly/Deny) decided the request
the instant it arrived – the default path for every request that
is neither gate-blocked nor deferred.
Operator
An operator answered a session/request_permission call that had
been left HostRequestDecision::Deferred.
DeadlinePolicy
A session/request_permission call left HostRequestDecision:: Deferred reached its deadline with no operator answer, so
HostPolicy – the SAME policy that would have answered it
immediately had deferral never been enabled – decided it instead.
Deliberately its own variant rather than Policy: folding it in
would erase the fact that an operator was asked first and nobody
answered in time. Equally deliberately not Operator: no human
made this choice.
