Neither node nor c2 ever inspect body – see HarnessMcpOpaquePayloadV1 – so this tag exists only so the two real endpoints (the reviewed local helper program, which originates a request and decodes a reply; the harness, which decodes a request and originates a reply) can tell a version-skewed or misdirected payload from a well-formed one, without the carrier needing to know either shape.
