htop prints Tasks: 472, 1664 thr, 0 kthr; 1 running.

Fields

total: usize

Processes, excluding additional thread rows.

running: usize

Running tasks; on macOS this is the running thread count, capped at CPUs.

threads: usize

Userland threads, including main threads.

kernel_threads: usize

Kernel threads reported separately by the backend (always 0 on macOS).
