ModelInstanceId

Struct ModelInstanceId

Source
pub struct ModelInstanceId(/* private fields */);
Expand description

A process-unique, never-recycled identity for one constructed model.

Mint one per model (lazily is fine) and mix it into that model’s decode key. Because ids are monotonic and never reused, two distinct models cannot collide regardless of allocation, drop order, or who outlives whom — see the module docs for the pointer-identity scheme this replaced and why it failed.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ModelInstanceId

Source

pub fn next() -> Self

Mint the next id. Monotonic and never recycled; u64 exhaustion would need 2^64 model constructions in one process.

Source

pub fn get(self) -> u64
