Hct

Struct Hct

Source
pub struct Hct { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A color in HCT: hue (0..360), chroma (0..~130, hue- and tone-dependent), tone (0..100, L* from L*a*b*).

Constructing one from a hue/chroma/tone triple maps it into sRGB immediately, so Hct::to_color round-trips exactly; a request outside the gamut comes back with its chroma reduced until it fits, never with a shifted hue or tone.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Hct

Source

pub fn from_color(color: Color) -> Self

The HCT coordinates of an existing color (its alpha is ignored).

Source

pub fn new(hue: f64, chroma: f64, tone: f64) -> Self

The in-gamut sRGB color nearest the requested triple — see the type’s docs for what “nearest” gives up.

Source

pub fn hue(&self) -> f64

Hue in degrees, 0.0..360.0.

Source

pub fn chroma(&self) -> f64

Chroma — informally colorfulness; its maximum depends on hue and tone.

Source

pub fn tone(&self) -> f64

Tone (L*), 0.0..=100.0.

Source

pub fn to_color(&self) -> Color

The opaque sRGB color this HCT resolves to.
