Expand description

How the fragment shader turns an instance’s payload into colour.

The discriminants are the shader’s own paint-type numbering, not an arbitrary ordering — they are written into GpuStrip::paint_and_rect_flag as-is.

Variants§

§

Solid = 0

The payload is a premultiplied RGBA8 colour, used directly.

§

Image = 1

The payload is a sample position; the record names an atlas image.

§

LinearGradient = 2

The payload is a sample position; the record names a linear gradient.

§

RadialGradient = 3

The payload is a sample position; the record names a radial gradient.

§

SweepGradient = 4

The payload is a sample position; the record names a sweep gradient.

§

BlurredRoundedRect = 5

The payload is a sample position; the record names a blurred rounded rectangle.

§

Glyph = 6

The payload is the atlas texel under the instance’s top-left corner; the record names the glyph atlas layer and tint of a whole glyph run.

Only ever carried by a rect instance (RECT_STRIP_FLAG): the payload addresses the atlas from the instance’s own origin, which is the glyph’s corner only when the instance is the glyph’s whole rectangle.
