Service

Struct Service

Source
pub struct Service;
Expand description

Starts the in-app devtools service. A namespace, not a value — the running service is owned through its ServiceHandle.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Service

Source

pub fn start<B: DevtoolsBackend>( backend: B, app: AppInfo, ) -> Result<ServiceHandle>

Binds an ephemeral loopback port and starts serving, with ServiceConfig::default.

§Errors

The io::Error from binding 127.0.0.1:0 or from building the internal runtime. A shell should treat a failure here as “no devtools this run” and carry on — the service is never load-bearing for the app.

Source

pub fn start_with_config<B: DevtoolsBackend>( backend: B, app: AppInfo, config: ServiceConfig, ) -> Result<ServiceHandle>

Service::start with explicit tuning.

§Errors

See Service::start.
