UseState

Struct UseState

Source
pub struct UseState<T> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A value kept between rebuilds by BuildContext::use_state. Changing it asks for a rebuild; reading it does not.

Cloning a UseState clones the handle: every clone reads and writes the same value, which is what lets a handler own one.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<T: 'static> UseState<T>

Source

pub fn get(&self) -> T
where T: Clone,

A copy of the current value.

Source

pub fn with<R>(&self, read: impl FnOnce(&T) -> R) -> R

Reads the current value without copying it.

Source

pub fn set(&self, value: T)

Replaces the value, and asks for a rebuild.

Source

pub fn update(&self, change: impl FnOnce(&mut T))

Changes the value in place, and asks for a rebuild.
