What a browser is told about the field being edited (milestone 711): the attributes of
the <input> or <textarea> the web shell edits it through.
Here rather than in the shell for the reason Android’s numbers are: the shell’s half runs only in a browser, and this half is checked on every push.
Fields§
§multiline: boolA <textarea> rather than an <input>: the field takes more than one line.
input_type: &'static strThe input’s type: password for a secret the field masks, which is what keeps
it out of the browser’s suggestions and offers it to a password manager; text
otherwise. A <textarea> has none.
inputmode: &'static strinputmode: which keys a software keyboard offers.
enterkeyhint: Option<&'static str>enterkeyhint: what the action key says, or None for the browser’s own.
autocapitalize: &'static strautocapitalize: which letters a software keyboard capitalises by itself.
corrects: boolautocorrect and spellcheck: off for what is not prose — an address, a number,
a secret — where a correction is a mistake.
