pub enum TextOverflow {
Clip,
Ellipsis,
Fade,
Visible,
}Expand description
What becomes of text that does not fit the box it was given.
Variants§
Clip
Cut at the edge of the box. The default, and the quiet one: nothing marks the place where the words stopped.
Ellipsis
Cut, with the last line ending in an ellipsis. The only mode that tells the reader something is missing, which is usually the one wanted.
Fade
Cut, with the last line fading out into the background rather than stopping at a hard edge.
Visible
Draw past the box. Not an accident: a badge or a decoration that is meant to spill says so this way, rather than by being given a box it does not fit.
