Which command carries a dial string, and therefore how deeply its variable values must be escaped.

FreeSWITCH escape-processes a bracket block a different number of times depending on the command it arrived on, and the correct escaping of a value containing a single quote differs between them with no form that satisfies both. Naming the carrier is the only way a renderer can be right.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

EslApi

api originate / bgapi originate, whose argument list is split before the block itself is parsed. The default for Display.

Dialplan

A dialplan application such as bridge, including via sendmsg execute, which receives its argument whole.
