Expand description
The read-only analysis browser that bare foch opens: inspect the current
EU4 input, run the complete N-way merge analysis, and browse every review
unit. It never records decisions, builds artifacts, or writes output.
Structs§
- Analysis
Settings - The analysis switches the browser can change. They live only in memory and apply to the next analysis; nothing is saved.
- Analysis
View - A finished analysis, detached from the frozen artifacts it was read from.
- App
- The browser’s whole visible state. It only reads: no key leads to a decision, an artifact, or a write.
- Current
Eu4Source - The installed EU4 game and its current launcher playset, inspected without
initializing configuration, as
foch input inspectreports it. - HitAreas
- Where the last frame drew each panel, and the first row a scrolled list showed, so a mouse position maps back to a panel and a row.
- Inspection
- One read-only look at the current input: what to show, and what an analysis of exactly that input reads.
- Session
- The browser state plus the background work feeding it. Every inspection and analysis carries a generation, so results from work a refresh replaced are dropped instead of mixed into the new snapshot.
Enums§
- Analysis
Input - What an analysis of an inspected input reads, as
foch mergetakes it. - Effect
- Something outside the browser a key asked for, carried out by the run loop: none of these writes a file.
- Focus
- Input
Pane - The panels of the playset screen, in
Taborder. - Phase
- Screen
Constants§
- DISPOSITIONS
- Every disposition, in the order the summary and filter keys list them.
- KEY_
HELP - Every key, with the
fochcommand that does the same outside the browser, as the help panel lists them. - OPTION_
COUNT - Rows in the options panel, in
AnalysisSettingsfield order.
Traits§
- Browser
Source - Where the browser reads its input from. The product source inspects the installed EU4 game and its launcher playset; tests supply fixtures.
Functions§
- analyze_
input - Run the complete N-way analysis
foch mergeruns formerge_args, over the inspected input. The browser never commits, somerge_args.outonly names where a commit would have gone; it is a fresh path that analysis leaves untouched. - disposition_
label - draw
- run
- Open the browser on the current EU4 input. Returns the process exit code.
- selected_
text - The text a drag covered in a drawn frame: wide characters once, panel borders and trailing blanks dropped.
- unit_
detail - Everything the analysis knows about one unit: the vanilla ancestor, every contributor in precedence order with its source files, and the outputs the analysis would commit.
