pub struct CacheConfig {
pub dir: PathBuf,
pub force_rebuild: bool,
pub env_vars: Vec<String>,
}Expand description
Configuration for persistent build caching.
The embedder controls where cache files are stored. Cache keys are content-addressed (BLAKE3 hash of inputs), so invalidation is automatic.
Fields§
§dir: PathBufDirectory where cache database is stored.
The cache uses a single redb database file at <dir>/cache.redb.
force_rebuild: boolForce rebuild even if cache exists.
When true, the cache is bypassed for reads but still written to after the build completes. Useful for CI or refreshing the cache.
env_vars: Vec<String>Environment variables that affect the cache key.
If your build output depends on environment variables (e.g., NODE_ENV), add them here so the cache key changes when they change.
Implementations§
Source§impl CacheConfig
impl CacheConfig
Sourcepub fn new(dir: impl Into<PathBuf>) -> Self
pub fn new(dir: impl Into<PathBuf>) -> Self
Create a new cache config with the given directory.
Sourcepub fn with_force_rebuild(self, force: bool) -> Self
pub fn with_force_rebuild(self, force: bool) -> Self
Set the force rebuild flag.
Sourcepub fn with_env_vars(
self,
vars: impl IntoIterator<Item = impl Into<String>>,
) -> Self
pub fn with_env_vars( self, vars: impl IntoIterator<Item = impl Into<String>>, ) -> Self
Add environment variables to include in the cache key.
Sourcepub fn should_force_rebuild(&self) -> bool
pub fn should_force_rebuild(&self) -> bool
Check if force rebuild is requested via environment variable.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():

Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value

§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:

painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
