Expand description

One lifecycle rule, reduced to what VERSION RETENTION cares about (lean boundary-verbs plan D8).

Gated staging makes the CITED version noncurrent the moment a newer generation stages, so a NoncurrentVersionExpiration rule covering <prefix>/files/ runs a clock against live cited data — and never against the newest uncited bytes, which are current and which no lifecycle rule can reach. That inversion is why the rules have to be READABLE and not merely writable: a customer sitting at noncurrent-days=1 arms the destroyer without touching flint at all.

Fields§

§id: String§enabled: bool§prefix: String

The rule’s prefix filter; "" = the whole bucket.

§noncurrent_days: Option<u64>

NoncurrentVersionExpiration.NoncurrentDays, when the rule has one. None = this rule expires no noncurrent versions.

§expired_delete_marker: bool

Whether the rule also expires orphaned delete markers.
