Struct Builder

A builder for constructing Template instances.

The builder allows incremental construction of a template by adding records one at a time. It automatically categorizes each record into the appropriate slot (primary R1/R2, supplementary, or secondary) based on SAM flags.

Arguments

Errors

Returns an error if multiple primary R1s or R2s are encountered

Panics

Panics if template name is unexpectedly missing when reporting duplicate records.

pub fn len(&self) -> usize

Returns the number of records currently in the builder.

Returns

Total count of records across all categories

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Checks if the builder contains no records.

Returns

true if the builder is empty, false otherwise

pub fn build(&mut self) -> Result<Template>

Builds a new template from this builder.

The builder may be re-used.

Errors

If the template could not be built.
