ValidatedJson

Struct ValidatedJson

Source
pub struct ValidatedJson<T>(pub T);
Expand description

ValidatedJson is an Axum extractor that behaves like Zod’s .parse(). It consumes the request body as JSON, parses it into type T, and immediately calls .validate() on it. If validation fails, it throws a formatted 400 Bad Request error.

impl<T, S> FromRequest<S> for ValidatedJson<T>
where T: DeserializeOwned + Validate, S: Send + Sync, Json<T>: FromRequest<S, Rejection = JsonRejection>,

Source§

type Rejection = AppError

If the extractor fails it’ll use this “rejection” type. A rejection is a kind of error that can be converted into a response.

fn from_request<'life0, 'async_trait>( req: Request, state: &'life0 S, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<Self, Self::Rejection>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait,

Perform the extraction.
