DRY was asked for and there is no vocabulary to tokenise its sequence breakers against.

A refusal rather than a silent fallback to no breakers, because DRY without its breakers is not DRY with fewer features: it scans across the newline the caller told it to stop at, and the output looks like working DRY. The only checkpoints this can happen on are the ones with no real vocabulary at all (ByteTokenizer, the synthetic-weight demo model), where no sampler configured by text could mean what it says anyway.
