Metadata for a distributed checkpoint: how many ranks participated and how each tensor is sharded.

Marked #[non_exhaustive] to allow forward-compatible additions (versioning, dtype catalog, optimizer-state metadata).

Fields (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.

num_ranks: usize

Number of ranks that produced this checkpoint.

tensor_specs: HashMap<String, TensorShardSpec>

Per-tensor sharding specification, keyed by tensor name.
