Expand description

Tuning for event coalescing.

Fields§

§settle: Duration

How long the event stream must be quiet before a batch is emitted.

§max_hold: Duration

Longest a batch may be held open while events keep arriving. Without a ceiling, a continuously busy tree would never produce a delta at all.

§relist_new_dirs: bool

Whether a newly created directory triggers a re-list of its contents.

On by default, and it should stay on for inotify and kqueue: those backends install a directory’s watch only after the create event arrives, so files created in between are never reported by anything.

§event_capacity: usize

Maximum raw backend events queued before overload collapses to one root invalidation. Backend callback threads never block on this queue.

§batch_path_capacity: usize

Maximum distinct paths retained in one coalesced intent.

§intent_capacity: usize

Maximum coalesced intents awaiting a consumer.
