#[non_exhaustive]pub enum DomainCompletion {
PartialProjection,
ConditionalExpectation,
ZeroPad,
}Expand description
Strategy for handling unobserved domain.
§Strategy comparison
- ConditionalExpectation (recommended): Best accuracy when the FPCA model is well-specified. Uses BLUP to predict scores from partial observations. Degrades gracefully as domain fraction decreases.
- PartialProjection: Computationally cheapest. Scales inner products by domain fraction. Acceptable when domain fraction > 0.7.
- ZeroPad: Simplest baseline. Fills unobserved region with the mean function. Biases scores toward zero for small domain fractions.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
PartialProjection
Partial inner products scaled by domain fraction.
ConditionalExpectation
Best Linear Unbiased Predictor (Yao et al., 2005).
ZeroPad
Pad unobserved region with the mean function.
