Detailed classification of XML errors.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

InvalidDocumentShape(&'static Def)

The document shape is invalid (expected struct with element fields).

§

Parse(String)

Failed to parse the XML document.

§

Reflect(ReflectError)

Error from the reflection system during deserialization.

§

UnsupportedShape(String)

Encountered an unsupported shape during deserialization.

§

NoMatchingElement(String)

No field matches the given element name.

§

NoMatchingAttribute(String)

No field matches the given attribute name.

§

UnknownAttribute

Unknown attribute encountered.

Fields

§attribute: String

The unknown attribute name.

§expected: Vec<&'static str>

List of expected attribute names.

§

NoTextField

No text field found for text content.

§

UnexpectedText

Unexpected text content.

§

UnsupportedValueDef(String)

Unsupported value definition.

§

InvalidValueForShape(String)

Value doesn’t fit the expected shape.

§

Solver(SolverError)

Solver error (ambiguous or no matching variant for flattened enum).

§

SchemaError(SchemaError)

Schema construction error.

§

UnexpectedEof

Unexpected end of input.

§

UnexpectedEvent(String)

Unexpected XML event.

§

MissingElement(String)

Missing required element.

§

MissingAttribute(String)

Missing required attribute.

§

InvalidAttributeValue

Invalid attribute value.

Fields

§name: String

The attribute name.

§value: String

The invalid value.

§expected_type: String

The expected type.

§

UnknownField

Unknown field encountered when deny_unknown_fields is set.

Fields

§field: String

The unknown field name.

§expected: Vec<&'static str>

List of expected field names.

§

InvalidUtf8(String)

Invalid UTF-8 in input.

§

Base64Decode(String)

Base64 decoding error.

§

Io(String)

IO error during serialization.

§

SerializeNotStruct

Expected a struct for XML document serialization.

§

SerializeNotList

Expected a list for elements field.

§

SerializeUnknownElementType

Unknown element type during serialization.

§

SerializeUnknownValueType

Unknown value type during serialization.

§

MissingXmlAnnotations

Struct fields lack XML annotations, so they cannot be mapped automatically.

Fields

§type_name: &'static str

Fully-qualified type name of the struct.

§phase: MissingAnnotationPhase

Whether the failure happened while serializing or deserializing.

§fields: Vec<(&'static str, &'static str)>

Offending fields paired with their Rust type identifiers.
