Point

Struct Point

Source
pub struct Point {
    pub x: f32,
    pub y: f32,
}
Expand description

A point in path space.

Paths are stored in 32-bit floats: they are consumed by the GPU backends, which upload them verbatim, and pixel-space coordinates never need more than 24 bits of mantissa. Layout arithmetic happens in f64 and is narrowed once, when a path is built.

Fields§

§x: f32

The horizontal coordinate.

§y: f32

The vertical coordinate.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Point

Inherent implementation of Point.

Source

pub fn new(x: f32, y: f32) -> Self

Builds a point from its coordinates.

§Arguments
  • f32 - A 32-bit float (f32).
Source

pub fn distance_to(&self, other: &Point) -> f32

Returns the distance between two points.

§Arguments
  • &Point - Shared reference to a Point.
§Returns
  • f32 - A 32-bit float.
Source

pub fn distance_squared_to(&self, other: &Point) -> f32

Returns the squared distance between two points.

§Arguments
  • &Point - Shared reference to a Point.
§Returns
  • f32 - A 32-bit float.
