Session announcement: what a host needs to interpret the frames that follow it.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.

chip: Chip

The chip that delivers the frames.

crate_version: [u8; 3]

Version of the crate that encoded the frames: major, minor, patch.

timestamp_us: u64

The node’s receive clock at the moment of the announcement, on the same time base as RxMeta::timestamp_us.

epoch_unix_us: Option<u64>

Wall-clock time (UNIX epoch, microseconds) corresponding to timestamp_us, when the controller supplied one.
