Envelope

Struct Envelope

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct Envelope { pub version: u8, pub node_id: [u8; 6], pub session_id: u32, pub source: SourceKind, pub stream_seq: u32, }
Expand description

Who emitted a frame, when, and from which measurement source. Encoded ahead of every Body.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§version: u8

WIRE_VERSION of the encoder.

§node_id: [u8; 6]

Identity of the node that delivered the frame: its base MAC address.

§session_id: u32

The measurement session this frame belongs to. Set by the controller with set_session, or drawn at random when a run starts without one.

§source: SourceKind

The kind of source that produced the measurement.

§stream_seq: u32

Per-source frame counter assigned by the delivering node, incremented once per frame it emits. A gap is a frame lost between capture and the host. Unlike an 802.11 sequence number it never repeats on a retry and does not depend on who transmitted the sounding.
