Strategy for filling sections with memories.

Variants

Greedy

Sort sections by priority (ascending), fill each with memories until the section budget or total budget is exhausted.

Balanced

Allocate total_budget proportionally across sections based on their max_tokens ratios, then fill each within its allocation.

Recency

Sort memories by created_at descending (newest first), then fill sections by priority (same as Greedy but with recency-sorted memories).
