pub enum ByteOrder {
LittleEndian,
BigEndian,
}Expand description
Which end of a multi-byte number the file writes first.
Not part of ArrayMetadata, and that is deliberate: ETP’s
GetDataArrayMetadata answers a shape and a type and says nothing about
byte order, because a transfer defines its own. This is a property of the
file, and it matters to exactly one kind of caller - one that must write
down how the bytes are stored, as an EML 2.3 external array declaration
does. So it is asked for separately, by
crate::backend::ArrayBackend::byte_order, and never inferred.
