Enum ArrayValues

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum ArrayValues { F64(Vec<f64>), F32(Vec<f32>), I64(Vec<i64>), I32(Vec<i32>), I16(Vec<i16>), I8(Vec<i8>), U64(Vec<u64>), U32(Vec<u32>), U16(Vec<u16>), U8(Vec<u8>), }
Expand description

A block of numbers, in the type the file holds them.

Typed, not converted. A dataset of doubles comes back as Vec<f64>, integers as Vec<i32>, and so on - because the point of reading a million points is to hand them to something that draws them, and every conversion on the way is a copy of the whole array. See ArrayData for the counting.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

F64(Vec<f64>)

H5T_IEEE_F64 and friends.

§

F32(Vec<f32>)

32-bit floats.

§

I64(Vec<i64>)

Signed integers, by width.

§

I32(Vec<i32>)

Signed 32-bit.

§

I16(Vec<i16>)

Signed 16-bit.

§

I8(Vec<i8>)

Signed 8-bit.

§

U64(Vec<u64>)

Unsigned 64-bit.

§

U32(Vec<u32>)

Unsigned 32-bit.

§

U16(Vec<u16>)

Unsigned 16-bit.

§

U8(Vec<u8>)

Unsigned 8-bit, and booleans, which HDF5 stores as bytes.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ArrayValues

Source

pub fn len(&self) -> usize

How many values there are.

Source

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Whether there are none.

Source

pub fn to_f64(&self) -> Vec<f64>

The element type, named the way ArrayMetadata names it. Every element widened to f64 - see ArrayData::to_f64, which is this with the shape beside it. This copies.

Source

pub fn element_type(&self) -> &'static str

The element type, named the way ArrayMetadata names it.

Source

pub fn as_bytes(&self) -> &[u8] ⓘ

The same memory seen as bytes. No copy - a borrow, for a caller about to hand the block to a GPU, a socket or a file.
