#[non_exhaustive]pub enum Type {
Regular,
Directory,
SymbolicLink,
Fifo,
CharacterDevice,
BlockDevice,
Socket,
}Expand description
Enumeration of possible file types in a standard UNIX-like filesystem.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Regular
Storage unit of a filesystem.
Directory
Node containing other nodes.
SymbolicLink
Node pointing towards an other node in the filesystem.
Fifo
Named pipe.
CharacterDevice
An inode that refers to a device communicating by sending chars (bytes) of data.
BlockDevice
An inode that refers to a device communicating by sending blocks of data.
Socket
Communication flow between two processes.
