OutputPool

Enum OutputPool

Expand description

Where a VideoDecoder writes decoded pictures.

Variants§

§

Allocate

The decoder allocates DMA-BUF frames, and allocates them again when the stream changes size.

Fields

§count: usize

Frames the caller may hold at once. The device’s own minimum (the reference pictures it keeps) and one buffer for it to decode into are added to this.

§

Provided(Vec<TensorDyn>)

Pictures are decoded into these DMA-BUF tensors, one buffer each. There must be at least one more than the device keeps for reference pictures, and each must be large enough for the stream’s coded picture at the row stride the device asks for; otherwise VideoDecoder::decode fails with CodecError::InvalidConfig when the stream’s size becomes known. A tensor’s own shape and format are not used: the decoded frames describe the device’s layout over the same memory. Across a change of stream format the same tensors are used again, each once the frames still showing it have dropped.
