Expand description

Result of a differential exon usage analysis.

Exon-level vectors have one entry per input exon, in input order. Gene-level vectors have one entry per testable gene, in first-appearance order. Single-exon genes have no within-gene contrast and are dropped.

Fields§

§exon_log_fc: Vec<f64>

Exon-level log fold change relative to the gene.

The exon’s coefficient minus its gene’s, on the natural log scale as in edgeR’s coefficients slot. (topSpliceDGE labels this logFC.)

Zero for an exon whose gene was dropped.

§exon_statistic: Vec<f64>

Exon-level test statistic and p-value.

A likelihood ratio when ql was None, a moderated F otherwise. Exons of dropped genes get a zero statistic and a p-value of one.

§exon_p_value: Vec<f64>

Exon-level p-value. See DiffSpliceResult::exon_statistic.

§gene_id: Vec<usize>

Gene-level identifiers, one per gene, in first-appearance order.

§gene_simes_p: Vec<f64>

Gene-level Simes and F tests.

The Simes p-value is min over k of (n * p_(k) / k) on the gene’s sorted exon p-values: does the gene contain any differentially used exon.

§gene_f_statistic: Vec<f64>

Joint gene-level statistic: the summed exon statistics, tested against a chi-squared (likelihood ratio) or an F (quasi-likelihood).

§gene_f_p_value: Vec<f64>§gene_n_exons: Vec<usize>

Number of exons per gene.
