Per-snapshot header carried inside the variable-sized header region declared by the negotiation step.

The first eight bytes are two big-endian u32s: the total plaintext length and the encrypt flag. The remaining bytes are reserved-for-future-use and must be transmitted as zero.

Fields

total_len: u32

Total plaintext length, in bytes.

encrypt_flag: u32

1 when chunks are AES-128-CBC encrypted, 0 otherwise.
