Struct Binding

Source
pub struct Binding {
    pub range: Range,
    pub name: String,
    pub ty: Option<TypeId>,
    pub sample_count: u32,
}
Expand description

A bound resource as dxc’s listing writes it in its Resource Bindings table (PrintResourceBindings): its range, its variable’s name and type, and its sample count, with the table’s names for them.

Fields§

§range: Range

The range, as ranges reads it.

§name: String

The resource’s variable’s name.

§ty: Option<TypeId>

The type its variable points to (the resource’s handle type).

§sample_count: u32

A shader resource view’s sample count: 0 for a single-sampled view and for a binding of another class.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Binding

Source

pub fn class_name(&self) -> &'static str

The Type column: texture (any SRV), UAV, cbuffer or sampler.

Source

pub fn format_name(&self) -> &'static str

The Format column: a view’s element type (component_name), byte for a raw buffer and struct for a structured one; NA for a constant buffer or sampler.

Source

pub fn dimension_name(&self) -> String

The Dim column: a view’s shape (dimension_name) with a multisampled texture’s sample count (2dMS4), and for a raw or structured buffer how it is accessed (r/o, r/w, r/w+cnt with a hidden counter); NA for a constant buffer or sampler.

Source

pub fn id_name(&self) -> String

The ID column: the class’s letter and the range id (T0, U1, CB0, S2).

Source

pub fn bind_name(&self) -> String

The HLSL Bind column: the register’s letter and number, and its space where not 0 (t0, u2,space1).
