Struct LinuxCaDevice

Source
pub struct LinuxCaDevice { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A CaDevice backed by a Linux DVB CA character device.

The kernel dvb_ca_en50221 character device carries a 2-byte link header on every read/write — [slot_id, connection_id, <TPDU>]. This type adds/strips that header, so the sans-IO transport deals in bare TPDUs. (Writing a raw TPDU without the header is rejected EINVAL by the driver.)

Implementations§

Source§

impl LinuxCaDevice

Source

pub fn open(adapter: u32, ca: u32) -> Result<Self>

Open /dev/dvb/adapter{adapter}/ca{ca} (slot 0).

Source

pub fn from_file(file: File, slot: u8) -> Self

Wrap an already-open CA device file for slot.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl CaDevice for LinuxCaDevice

Source§

fn read(&mut self, buf: &mut [u8]) -> Result<usize>

Read one link-layer TPDU frame into buf; returns the byte count. Ok(0) means no data available (non-blocking).
Source§

fn write(&mut self, buf: &[u8]) -> Result<()>

Write one link-layer TPDU frame.
Source§

fn reset(&mut self) -> Result<()>

Reset the interface / slot (ioctl CA_RESET).
Source§

fn slot_info(&mut self) -> Result<SlotInfo>

Query slot status (ioctl CA_GET_SLOT_INFO).
Source§

fn poll(&mut self, timeout: Duration) -> Result<bool>

Wait up to timeout for the device to become readable; Ok(true) if readable. The runtime’s poll loop calls this between reads.
Source§

impl Debug for LinuxCaDevice

Source§

fn fmt(&self, f: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> Result

Formats the value using the given formatter. Read more
