Relative population size of this entity within the domain, used to split total_unique identities across entities (build_pipeline_config). Defaults to 1.0 (every entity gets an equal share) when a schema doesn’t set it — every schema written before this field existed keeps behaving exactly as before. Set explicit weights when entities aren’t realistically equal in population (e.g. aviation: far more passenger identities than airline ones) — see docs/ or ask before picking numbers for a domain you don’t know well; a wrong weight is as misleading as the uniform default, just in the other direction.
