Struct Statistics

pub struct Statistics<T> {

Expand description

Running statistics of a data stream, updated by add. Sums are accumulated relative to offset (a value close to the data) to reduce cancellation in the variance.

Fields§

§mean: T

Mean.

§variance: T

Population variance (divided by the number of samples).

§sigma: T

Standard deviation, sqrt(variance).

§max: T

Largest value.

§min: T

Smallest value.

§range: T

max - min.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<T> Statistics<T>
where T: Float + AddAssign,

Source

pub fn new(offset: T) -> Self

Empty statistics. offset should be close to the data (e.g. the first sample); it only affects round-off.

Source

pub fn add(&mut self, data: T)

Add a sample and update all statistics.
