#[non_exhaustive]pub enum ReleaseReason {
Retired,
CommitFailed,
TestOnly,
Drained,
}Expand description
Why a set of buffers is being handed back.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Retired
They stopped being scanned out: a later commit’s flip completed.
The ordinary path, and the one invariant 1 governs.
CommitFailed
The commit that would have shown them was rejected.
Invariant 2: no flip is in flight to gate them on, so they go back at once and the producer can reuse them immediately.
TestOnly
A test commit, which applies nothing to hardware.
Drained
The scene is being torn down, paused, or rebound.
