How one rendered element spells a field attribute that has both a native and an ARIA form.
The question this answers is attribute applicability — does this element accept this attribute — not which accessibility spelling reads better. Only the widget knows the element it renders and the role that element carries, so the widget supplies it.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Native
Emit the native HTML attribute, such as required or disabled.
Aria
Emit the ARIA attribute, such as aria-required or aria-disabled.
Omit
Emit neither spelling.
Use this where the attribute is invalid on the rendered element and no ARIA spelling applies to its role either.
